I will not sleep.
Until the night remains calm for you
Until the hours become short
I will watch with you
For the storm that steals in the night,
That internal storm that torments you
I will watch out for you
Until the night is good
I will not sleepDSS 8/12/2010
**** And now a new one.****
Gilly Lane
He had met the girl
Fell for skin and curl
Female touch of gentle rainHis mind was adrift
Bought her fun and gift
He fell in love with his Gilly LaneBut that starry night
He realized the fright
That drives a man’s mind insaneFinding out the life
Full of toil and strife
Of the lonesome loves of his Gilly LaneDSS

Love them both – the first is so wonderful a description of the Good Shepherd and the second a smile inducing slice of young love!
lovely
Haven’t been online much this week – the computer is down at work too, leaving me sort of stranded…so enjoyed these. The first, especially stole my heart and the second one makes me smile. Just lovely.
@murisopsis - The first, a declaration. The second a ballad that could have gone on for many more stanzas, Gilly Lane is actually a street name I came across in Texas and thought it perfect for a girl’s name, couldn’t get it out of my head.
@promisesunshine - Thanks you!
@SandraErickson - I’ve noticed
your not being here. Thanks for the mini and the rec!, not a good time to camp anyway, rainy. Glad it made you smile!
