Life
Riding on fires and flares of exploding stardirt
Melting into the ice of comets
orbiting through dark and deep.
brewed in sunheat,
Organized by chaos
Tempered by flame and cold
Lightly touched by an amino…. I wiggle.DSS
WolvesOh Moon shine on
Still the night, shine on
They, on wild haunches
They, the wild watch
Shine on – the Moon. They think, they watch,
They wonder.
Oh Moon shine on,
They howl.DSS

Oh, my, but do I like these two (yes I do) The second especially. There are Barred Owls in the woods around the house where I work on the weekends. They were hooting back and forth to each other the other night. Such a delightfully melancholy sound at twilight – or midnight, for that matter, echoing off and around the mountains…Shine on!
@SandraErickson - Thanks Sandra! I like that one too. I’ve always wondered what was going on in their heads to make the wolves and coyotes howl at the moon like that. Hell, I feel like howling when the moon is so bright.
Excellent! I like them both – the first made me smile and the second is just wonderful with the repetition. OooowWooOoo!
Wow – beautifully worded
@murisopsis - I thought perhaps the repetition would make them seem more fidgety.
@venice - Thank you for the rec V! so glad you enjoyed it.
